The Shinwa Dogwood Flower Katana is an exceptional masterpiece from its exquisitely hand-forged blade to its expertly crafted cast metal pommel. It has a hand-forged, razor-sharp, beautifully bronze hued, 27 1/4” 1045 carbon steel blade that extends from a brass habaki. The sturdy wooden handle is wrapped in genuine rayskin and then wrapped in black leather in a traditional style. The sword has a dogwood flower open-work tsuba crafted of metal alloy and finished in an antique brass color, complementing the handle. The 39 1/2” overall katana slides, just like a glove, into a red lacquered wooden scabbard with black mottled accents.
