The Demon Daimyo Katana pays tribute to the Japanese warrior of the 1500’s, Oda Nobunaga, like only Shinwa can. The katana has a 29”, heat-tempered, 1045 carbon steel blade, which has been hand-sharpened with a Japanese whetstone and has a lengthy blood groove. The hardwood handle is wrapped in genuine rayskin and then wrapped in red cord with decorative menuki. The electroplated tsuba is intricately crafted of metal alloy with the likeness of Oda Nobunaga, regarded as the first “Great Unifier” of Japan in the 1560s. The 40” overall katana slides smoothly into a piano lacquered scabbard, accented with red cord-wrap to match the handle. The katana weighs 2.45 lbs.
